Lisa Charlap Fund

To all friends and family,

Below is a web site, that I would like you all to look at. A girl I went to high school with suffered a great tragedy in July. She gave birth to her second son, and then shortly after went into cardiac arrest and is in a coma. She has two young boys waiting for her at home. If you can help, just a little bit, I would really appreciate it. This one hit me hard, you never know how short life is. So remember to give your children extra kisses and dont wait to do everything you want to. Please pray for Lisa and her family.

WNYRoots Talkcast

Find out more about what WNYRoots.com can do for you. Listen to the first ever WNYRoots Talkcast in the blue box over to your left!

In this talkcast I describe many of the features of WNYRoots and give step by step directions. The best way to listen to this and follow along is to click on the section of the talkcast box labeled, "Visit my talkcast." When the new page opens, look in the middle near the bottom you'll see a small blue square labeled download. Right click on the square and go to "Save Target As..." This will allow you to download the talkcast to your hard drive so you can follow along.

1-year of Ancestry.com for $15.49! Too good to be true?

Well... actually the deal is too good to be true but it wasn't a couple weeks ago. I was reading Randy Seaver's blog and came across a posting where he talked about a website selling Family Tree Maker 16 with a free 1-year subscription to ancestry.com for only $15.49 + S&H. I was curious about the validity of this deal so I went to the website and ordered it. I figured even though there is a new version of Family Tree Maker out the software included in the package is still worth the $15. (It actually came to $20.18 with shipping.) Honestly, I was just hoping the free year of ancestry wasn't a scam.
Well, It turns out...

Parking Meter Headstone

I wouldn't normally post something like this on the front page but this is funny! Click 'Read More'. I got it off of Dick Eastman's blog.
